Sisters and Brothers,
System Council U8 and Duke Energy continued to make progress towards a new working agreement over the past couple weeks. Both sides have made tons of movement on several proposals and counterproposals and made clear their intentions and/or lack of interest in others.

| Negotiations Update |
Sisters and Brothers,
The SCU8 System Committee completed another week of bargaining with Duke Energy this past week. Several proposals and counter-proposals were passed across the table and discussed. Changes to our line apprentice program took center stage for most of the past two weeks, but we were able to get several other issues resolved as well.

| Negotiations Week 1 Update |
Sisters and Brothers,
System Council U8 and Duke Energy met several times at the bargaining table this past week and exchanged multiple counterproposals. Although nothing has been resolved, slow progress is being made towards a new working agreement. We will meet again next week, starting Monday, to discuss changes to the PGO Line Apprentice program.
