Sisters and Brothers,
System Council U8 successfully conducted a steward training class today and certified 15 potentially new union stewards: 8 from North Florida 682.2, 2 from 626.1, 3 from 1412, and 2 from 1491. Thank you to all the folks that gave up their Saturday to attend and to Ed Mobsby from the Intenational Office for assisting.
Thank you and, please continue working safely.
Sisters and Brothers,
The Bargaining Unit members at Citrus Combined Cycle Station have voted to ratify a new 3-year working agreement. Thank you to all that voted and to your awesome negotiating team from Local 433 that represented you with class, dignity, and conviction.
Sisters and Brothers,
System Council U8 and Duke Energy co-sponsored and attended the annual FPC Retiree Luncheon at the Bear Lake Clubhouse today. The weather was beautiful, the turnout was huge, and the food was amazing. Lumpy ran the event again like clockwork and almost everyone left happy with at least one door prize.
Sisters and Brothers,
The SCU8 and 433.1 negotiating team has reached a tentative agreement with Duke Energy for a 3-year contract. Attached is the agreement and details pertaining to the new working agreement should it be ratified. If you have any questions, please reach out to the members of your negotiating committee.
