I sit in New York City tonight having watched a Memorial Day tribute at Carnegie Hall with my family and friends. Many of you gathered with yours for a long weekend and I sincerely hope everyone enjoyed your time as much as my family did.
Please take a minute to do one more thing in consideration of this day...remember that this day is not a celebration of life.
It is a privilege to serve as Business Manager of IBEW System Council U-8. I am honored to have been selected and will continue to do it with the passion of those that have been in this office before me.
For those of you who do not know me, I started with Florida Power in 2000, as a Generation Process Specialist at the Hines Energy Complex.
Sisters and Brothers,
Today marks my final day serving in this role.
It’s been an honor to stand alongside each of you—to represent you, fight for you, and be part of something bigger than any one of us. The strength of this organization has always been its members, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together.
Sisters and Brothers,
Please see the attached GoFundMe link for Carter Plott. Carter's dad is Jared Plott, a Troubleman in Longwood and would never ask for help. Please help little Carter and his family get through these difficult times with whatever you are able to give.
